ROBOTIC SURGERY
Robotic surgery, also known as computer-assisted surgery, was developed to overcome the limitations of traditional surgery. Robotic surgery incorporates a state-of-the-art surgical system that helps your surgeon see vital anatomical structures more clearly, allowing for a more precise surgical procedure.
The system's main component consists of bendable metal arms with surgical tools attached. Once introduced into the patient's body through several small incisions, the instruments can be rotated a full 360 degrees, and can bend further and in more directions than the human wrist.
For most patients, robotic surgery offers multiple benefits including:
Shorter hospital stay
Less risk of complications
Less blood loss
Less pain
Less scarring
Less risk of infection
Quicker return to normal activities
